A replica of the Liberty Bell, located in Emancipation Park on Tolbod Gade. The park commemorates the abolition of slavery in 1848, while the island was owned by Denmark. The Liberty Bell was installed in the early 1950s, by which time the island was a U.S. possession. A bust of King Christian IX of Denmark (Born: April 8, 1818; King: November 15, 1863; Died: January 29, 1906).  


 
A gazebo/bandstand in the park. A plaque on the stonework says that it's dedicated to David E. Monsanto, who was the Bandmaster of the St. Thomas Community Band from 1935 to 1969.   People in the park.
