Visiting Easter Island (Boat-Based)

Visiting Hanga Roa (continued)

The story continues after two more pages of pictures.

A small grocery store near the church.   A small shop named Bazar Eben-ezer.

An ornately decorated souvenir shop along Avenida Atamu Tekena. Out of view above the roofline is a sign proclaiming "Hotu Matua's Favorite Shoppe"—Hotu Matua was the chief who founded the island back in 400 A.D., according to Rapa Nui folklore.   One restaurant along Atamu Tekena street had a carved wooden shark over the entrance.

This open-air restaurant had a very colorful interior with attractive table settings. The restaurant wasn't very busy; in fact, most of the time it was empty.
