Monument Valley scene.   John's Subaru desert cruiser. It looked funny to be driving through the desert with a pair of kayaks on the roof rack – "Hey fellas, are you lost? The water's a thousand miles that-a-way!"

We passed this roadside volcanic dike on the way to Monument Valley.
