Washington Anti-War March (continued)

The crowd massed along Constitution Ave. waiting to step off.   Another view of the crowd.

The crowd is slowly moving forward. The woman at left is holding a sign saying "Bush dropped everything for Terri [Schiavo], but couldn't be there for Katrina".   There were a number of "marchers" in wheelchairs.

This group of spirited and creative women called themselves "Raging Grannies"; they sang anti-war lyrics set to familiar tunes. Visit their web site and watch videos of them singing.   This group of well-dressed satirists pretended to be supporting Bush and the war. Visit their web site.
