Visiting Isla Santa Cruz in the Galápagos Archipelago

Puerto Ayora (continued)

This looked like a private residence; it was located at the far western end of town on the other side of the waterway from the main town. It had a very stylish entrance with a tile sign proclaiming "Shangri-La".

The town cemetery was located off the main road about half way to the Charles Darwin Research Station. Frankly, I like cemeteries—they are very peaceful. They are also very spiritual places where you can get a real feeling of the love and affection that the living have for their departed relatives; many of the remembrances are very touching.
