Visiting Isla Isabela in the Galápagos Archipelago

Boobies, Penguins, and Sea-Lions (continued)

Galápagos penguins floating in the water look like little ducks or cormorants.   I wonder how long it takes to put on the tuxedo each morning?

A mixed flock of floating and flying birds.

I thought this was a pretty neat picture: a tiny islet of penguins right next to cruising sailboats. In the Galápagos, you don't really have to go anywhere to observe nature—it's all around you.
