2006 Chesapeake Bay Bridge Walk

With five boats heading downwind, Ericsson Racing Team approaches the turning point.

Bringing up the rear, the seventh boat, Brunel, approaches the turning point.

Now all seven boats are heading downwind under spinnakers. From left to right: Pirates of the Caribbean, movistar, Brasil 1, Ericsson Racing Team, the two ABN AMRO boats (I can't tell which is which), and Brunel.

A view of the spectator fleet, with boats heading every which way. It looked like some boats were heading home, but other boats were heading south, pacing the race boats. There were quite a few helicopters buzzing around, including several that passed close alongside the Bay Bridge.
